Is Pacific Aquarius a built project?
No. It is a concept-stage water infrastructure proposal. The route, cost, throughput, energy, environmental controls, water rights, governance, and schedule require independent study.

Where does the water come from?
The working concept uses an Oregon Coast seawater intake. Seawater would be pumped directly to the Great Salt Lake rather than desalinated at the coast.

Why use the Great Salt Lake?
The lake is proposed as a central inland reserve and balancing tank. Any real project would need to address evaporation, salinity, ecology, basin hydrology, land, and operating controls.

Where does desalination happen?
The concept places the primary large-scale desalination and treatment plant at the Great Salt Lake reserve.

What happens to the saline purge?
Concentrated saline purge would require a dedicated treatment, monitoring, and environmental management program. This page does not claim a final disposal method.

How would water reach users?
Finished water would move from the treatment plant through storage and regional delivery nodes serving municipal, agricultural, industrial, recharge, and emergency uses.

What is the estimated scale?
The current screening concept lists 9.3 billion gallons per day and a $100B–$250B capital planning range. The flow measurement point is not yet defined, so the throughput figure should not be read as delivered freshwater. Both figures require independent validation.

Why include a destination resort?
The vision pairs seawater infrastructure with a resort inspired by Disneyland’s immersive visitor experience. Hospitality, recreation, attractions, and potential water services would be evaluated as revenue sources intended to turn a public expense into a profitable venture. Profitability is not yet established; no Disney affiliation is claimed.
